Phase 1 - Translation Phase
The journey begins with the translation of your book. If your book is not yet translated, we'll assign it to one of our translators. In cases where the original language is unfamiliar to our team (English, Spanish, French, and Italian), we collaborate with our trusted language experts.
Phase 2 - Choosing Your Narrator
In this phase, our Production Manager and Voice Director collaborate to conduct an initial screening from our narrators database. They'll preselect voices that align harmoniously with the essence of your book and we'll present you with a carefully curated selection of narrators. You will receive audio samples of their work, empowering you to make an informed decision that truly resonates with your vision.
Phase 3 - Organizing Studio Time
This is where our Production Manager shines in organizing all the elements seamlessly. She'll coordinate with you or your chosen narrator to schedule the recording sessions. Once the availability of both the narrator and voice director, we'll provide you with an estimated delivery date for your audiobook.
Phase 4 - Final Preparations
Before the recording begins, we ensure all the logistical details are in order. This includes the voice director making sure each pronunciation is understood, preparing the manuscript for narration, fine-tuning character development, and keeping you in the loop with any questions and progress updates.
Phase 5 - The Recording Process
This is where the magic begins. Our crew will arrive at studio and dedicate themselves to the full and complete recording of your book. We take our time, making sure to get it right. Everyone on the team loves this step, and we think you will too. It’s where your dream becomes reality.
Phase 7 - Audiobook Mastering and Read Proofing
The process moves forward to mastering and meticulous proofing. One of our audiobook proofreaders listens to every minute of the recording and compiles a (hopefully concise) list of potential issues, such as mispronunciations. Anything that requires perfection is thoroughly reworked in studio. Our attention to detail reflects our commitment to pristine audio quality and a product that we can all take pride in.
Phase 8 - Listen and Savor Your Retail-Ready Audiobook
Finally, the moment you've been waiting for – a final listen to your audiobook. If you encounter any issues that need attention, we'll promptly address them. Then, voila! You'll have your meticulously reviewed and approved audiobook ready to publish.
